Volunteering
Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or help occasionally at events, your time makes a real difference.
Volunteer opportunities may include:
- Greeting visitors and sharing local knowledge
- Assisting with exhibitions and displays
- Supporting events and community activities
- Helping with research or archival work
No previous experience is necessary—just enthusiasm and an interest in local heritage.
Current Vacancies
Commercial Development Manager
- Location: Ullapool Museum Trust
- Hours: 15 hours a week 0.4 FTE
- Salary: £30,810 pro rata (£12,224 pa) (3% annual increase)
Lead growth in cruise tourism, travel trade partnerships, and new income streams for this community-focused heritage organisation. We’re seeking a proactive, commercially minded professional to develop visitor experiences and drive sustainable revenue.

Treasurer (Volunteer)
- Location: Ullapool Museum Trust
- Hours: approx. 5 hrs a month

Front of House Volunteers

Ullapool Museum is looking for friendly Front of House volunteers to welcome visitors, share local stories, and support our daily operations. If you enjoy meeting people and want to help preserve and promote our community’s heritage, we’d love to hear from you. Full training and support are provided.
