In the 60 or so before World War two, crewing on the yachts of rich and famous industrialists and landowners provided a welcome income for the seamen of Loch Broom district and other parts of the West Highlands and Islands.

This book contains a collection of more than 100 photographs from those years, depicting the sailors on the yachts, as well as life for those at home.
